Does the moon have an eating disorder? All this waning-waxing business sounds a little too much like binge and purge. At least now we know the moon most likely came from a white upper middle class household with controlling parents and horseback riding trophies from middle school.

in japanese mythology it is not a man or woman in the moon, it is a rabbit making mochi (rice cakes). in certain chinese myths, it is a rabbit grinding ingredients to make some kind of pill.
